About Us...

Assist Pregnancy Center is a locally organized, faith-based, non-profit organization. We are primarily staffed by loving, concerned volunteers who have received training in peer counseling. We refer to our trained volunteers as Client Mentors.

All of our services are free, confidential and available regardless of income, race or religion. We operate on financial donations by individuals and private organizations. Because we do not perform abortions, we have no financial interest in your decision. We just want to provide a place for you to take a deep breath, get needed information and make an informed decision.

We recognize...

that you are facing perhaps the greatest crisis of your life and we want you to know - you don't have to face it alone.

We are committed...

to providing our services in a compassionate and thoughtful manner. All of our services are offered free of charge and are confidential to the fullest extent allowed by law. We want you to have all the facts before you make your decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my appointment?

Each appointment varies, but as a new client you can expect to meet with a Client Mentor who will fill out an intake form from general information you provide. We recommend you make an appointment. Most appointments are one hour in length and will be tailored to meet your specific needs.

Walk-in pregnancy tests are welcome at anytime during our normal business hours. You will receive a self-administered pregnancy test.

What sort of pregnancy tests do you offer?

We use  Quick & Clear and Mainline Confirms hCG pregnancy tests. These are highly accurate tests which can detect pregnancy hormones in your urine days before your missed period. Results are available within four minutes. We are not a medical clinic and do not conduct any blood testing.

Do you only speak English?

We have Spanish-speaking Client Mentors at Assist Pregnancy Center and many of our educational resources are offered in Spanish.

Do you offer referrals for abortion or birth control?

We do not perform nor refer for abortions or birth control. We are committed to giving you the best and most accurate information on all your options, including information on pregnancy development, abortion procedures and risks associated with sexual involvement.

What is Earn While You Learn (EWYL)?

For clients who choose to parent, we offer a parent mentoring program. EWYL allows clients to meet with a Client Mentor on a regular basis to work through one of over 50 lessons on pregnancy, fetal development, childcare, parenting, and relationships. These educational sessions are tailored to your particular needs. Each one-hour session earns you a point that can be redeemed  for items from our extensive material assistance closet. You are welcome to attend by yourself or with a partner or friend.

Points are also available to other clients through participation in any Assist program.

How can you offer your services free of charge?

Assist Pregnancy Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit service organization. We receive most of our funds and material resources from individuals and private organizations which have a heart for the community. Because of their generosity, all of our services are free of charge.

Are you affiliated with any other organizations?

Assist Pregnancy Center is an independent, local pregnancy center that has been serving our community since 1989. We are affiliates of CareNet and Heartbeat International.
